Admission and Tuition Fees
Before you can become a student in one of the MA programmes offered by LUCRES, you'll have to be formally admitted as a student by Leiden University. And of course, there will be tuition fees involved.
Admission
If you want to be admitted to one of the MA programmes offered by LUCRES as an international student, you will have to meet the academic entrance requirements, prove your proficiency in English, fill in the relevant paperwork and meet a number of deadlines. If you're from outside the European Union or one of the countries of the EEA you may also need a residence permit or visa.
Your application procedure will be processed by the Leiden University Admissions Office. But if necessary, don't hesitate to contact the LUCRES Student and Programme Councillor.
Tuition fees
Like all students in the Netherlands, you will have to pay tuition and other fees to Leiden University if you choose enroll in one of the LUCRES MA programmes. The exact level of these fees depends on your country of origin.
You can enroll in any of the MA programmes of LUCRES at the beginning of each semester: in September or in February. Tuition fees in the Netherlands are usually paid per academic year, starting in September. Special restitution regulations apply if you are only enrolled for one semester of an academic year. If you enroll in the International MA in Russian Studies, tuition fees for the semester abroad in Saint-Petersburg are due to our partners of the European University at Saint-Petersburg. During this semester, you will not be formally enrolled at Leiden University.
