International MA
The International MA in Russian Studies is a special MA programme offered by LUCRES. Spanning three semesters, it offers you a possibility to follow courses in Leiden, Leuven and Saint-Petersburg. A truly international experience, leading up to a special International MA degree, awarded by Leiden University.
Leiden and Leuven
The International MA is a special LUCRES initiative for those who want something more than a regular one-year MA. Like our students in the regular MA programme Russian Studies, you will follow courses in Leiden and Leuven for two semesters. During this time, you will be able to draw upon the expertise of our experienced teachers and researchers, and enjoy the exciting international extracurricular events.
The study load of these two semesters is 60 ECTS, made up by 40 ECTS of disciplinary subjects and an MA thesis of 20 ECTS.
Russia
The third semester of the International MA takes the form of an intensive study programme at the European University at Saint-Petersburg (EUSP).
During this International Semester you will be enrolled at EUSP. All ECTS credits obtained in Saint-Petersburg as part of the programme will be recognised by Leiden University, which will award the International MA degree.
